Licensed & Compliant U.S. Debt Relief Guidance — SafePath does not lend money
How It Works

Eight steps, one consistent point of contact.

Every SafePath client moves through the same structured journey. Here's exactly what to expect, from your first phone call to becoming debt-free.

1

Free Consultation

We start with a no-obligation conversation about your debts, income, and goals. You'll leave understanding your realistic options, whether or not you choose to move forward.

2

Financial Review

If you'd like to continue, we take a closer look at your full financial picture — balances, interest rates, creditors, and monthly cash flow — to see what a program could realistically look like.

3

Personalized Strategy

Using that review, we outline a program tailored to your situation: a monthly contribution amount, an estimated timeline, and which creditors will be prioritized first.

4

Escrow Account Setup

If you decide to enroll, an FDIC-insured escrow account is opened in your name at an independent financial institution. SafePath never holds your funds directly.

5

Savings Phase

You make scheduled contributions into your escrow account. This builds the funds needed to make settlement offers as they become viable with each creditor.

6

Negotiation

Once sufficient funds are available, our negotiation team engages directly with your creditors to work toward a settlement for less than the full balance owed.

7

Settlement

When a creditor agrees to terms, we present the offer to you for approval. Funds are released from escrow only after you sign off.

8

Financial Progress

As debts are resolved one by one, you move closer to being debt-free. We also provide guidance on next steps, including rebuilding credit after your program ends.

Timeline Expectations

How long does a program typically take?

It depends on your debt

Programs are shaped by total balance, number of creditors, and how much you're able to contribute monthly — timelines vary widely between clients.

Progress is gradual

Settlements happen creditor by creditor as funds become available, not all at once. Early months focus on building your escrow balance.

You're updated throughout

Your consultant provides regular updates so you always know where your program stands and what's next.

Results and timelines vary based on individual circumstances, creditor policies, and consistent program participation. SafePath does not guarantee a specific outcome.
