Guidance and structure for every stage of debt relief.
SafePath offers a small set of services, each explained in full before you commit to anything. We recommend what fits your situation — not what's easiest for us to sell.
Debt Settlement
Debt settlement is a negotiation-based process. Rather than continuing minimum payments on unsecured debt, you redirect funds into a dedicated escrow account. Once enough has accumulated, our negotiators approach your creditors to reach a settlement — an agreement to resolve the debt for less than the full balance owed.
This approach is not guaranteed to work with every creditor, and it can affect your credit standing while you're enrolled. We walk through these trade-offs honestly during your consultation so you can decide if it's the right fit.
Good fit if you:
- • Carry significant unsecured debt (credit cards, personal loans)
- • Are struggling to keep up with minimum payments
- • Want an alternative to bankruptcy
- • Can commit to consistent monthly contributions
What we cover in your consultation
- • A full picture of your debts and monthly cash flow
- • Whether settlement, consolidation, or another path fits best
- • What a realistic program timeline could look like
- • Honest answers to your questions — no obligation
Debt Relief Consultation
Every relationship with SafePath starts with a free, no-obligation consultation. A financial consultant reviews your income, expenses, and debt load, then explains the realistic options available — including options outside of what SafePath offers.
There's no cost and no commitment. Many people use this call simply to understand where they stand.
Escrow Process
Clients who enroll in a settlement program set aside monthly contributions into an FDIC-insured escrow account, held in their own name at an independent financial institution — not controlled by SafePath.
As your balance grows, SafePath's negotiation team works to reach settlements with your creditors. Funds are only released from escrow when you approve a specific settlement offer.

Financial Guidance
Debt relief isn't only about negotiation — it's about building habits and confidence that last beyond the program. Our team offers ongoing guidance so clients understand what's happening at every stage and feel prepared once their program concludes.
Optional Legal Plans
Some clients want additional support if a creditor pursues legal action during a settlement program. SafePath can connect interested clients with optional legal plan coverage offered through independent, affiliated legal service providers.
These legal plans are not provided directly by SafePath, are entirely optional, and involve a separate agreement with the affiliated provider.
Good to know
- • Fully optional — never required to enroll with SafePath
- • Provided and administered by affiliated third parties
- • Terms, coverage, and pricing are set by the legal provider
